BREAKING NEWS: Celine Dion’s Husband (Rene Angelil) Is Dead - See How He Died

Rene Angelil and Celine Dion married in 1994 and they have had three (3) children together. 

Angelil also has three children from two prior marriages. After a long battle with throat cancer, Dion and her husband came to the realization that the end was near. He even asked her if he could die in her arms, to which she told him he could. 

Angelil has been a manager of musical talent for decades. He was his wife's manager for years until his health made it too difficult to carry out the job. In addition to music, Angelil has become a professional poker player, which makes it convenient for Dion to hold her longtime residency in Las Vegas, Nevada. 

Together, the couple have amassed a net worth of over a billion dollars. Upon Angelil's death, his rep released this statement: 

Rene Angelil, 73, passed away this morning at his home in Las Vegas after a long and courageous battle against cancer. The family requests that their privacy be respected at the moment. 

Throughout Angelil's life, he battled cancer three times.
