A university lover boy has brutally stabbed his schoolmate to death during a fight over a girl after bumping into each other in the girl’s room.
Tragedy struck on Monday night as Stephen Wairimu, a fourth Year student at Moi University, Kenya was brutally stabbed to death by a schoolmate as the two fought over a girl.
According to Nairobi news, the assailant, Diskson Syengo who is a First Year student, is said to have been drunk when he committed the offence.
NTV reports that the two were fighting over a First Year student by the name Faith, who is said to have been in a love affair with the two.
It was gathered that the two lover boys engaged in a fierce fight after bumping into each other at Faith’s house at Pioneer Estate.
The girl who was dating the two men at the time didn’t know they were going to meet.
As the fight raged, Syengo is said to have grabbed a kitchen knife, pursued the rival and stabbed Stephen Wairimu eight times.
He died while undergoing treatment at the Moi Teaching and Referral hospital.
Police confirmed the incident saying that Syengo is being held at Langas police station awaiting trial.
