Finally!! Whatsapp Video Calling Feature Is Live - See Full Details & How To Use It

WhatsApp is the most famous messaging app on the planet, so even small changes warrant some attention. This time I haven’t brought a minor change, though. This is a big one.

WhatsApp has started rolling out video call feature on its messaging app. Just like Facebook Messenger, integrating video calling feature in WhatsApp actually followed after gaining support for making voice calls last year.Here comes the whole story,

The screenshots belong to an unreleased version of the WhatsApp application for iOS, which is now live on Android and iOS.

But as of now…

…this video calling feature is only limited to the latest beta app with version 2.16.318. A couple of days back, it was first spotted on the beta version of the Windows Phone app.

Recently WhatsApp has added new camera improvements.

It allows the user to add stickers to any clicked photo before sending. 

It also added support for GIF images to the Android OS followed by other platforms.

Have you noticed the major thing?

Almost all new updates were pushed to Android OS before any other operating system. However, this new feature of video calling from WhatsApp is first pushed to the Windows platform. Bizarre!

It’s easy as you might imagine!

Just after clicking the call button on WhatsApp, you will get the choices: Video or Voice call.

Keep this in mind!

Both the users must be in the latest beta version, if not, it shows the “Couldn’t place call” error.

Adding on to the feature…

While on a video call, one can switch the camera, mute the audio, and send the message. However, sending a message will pause the video call.

The saddest part

As I mentioned it earlier that video calling feature had started rolling out in Windows phone (without re-installing the app), Android and iOS users are still to get the update.
