Unbelievable!!! Apostle Suleman Calls King David’s Mother A Harlot - Funmi Iyanda And Other Nigerians Blasts Him - See Full Details

Apostle Suleman has been challenged over his Sunday message where he described the biblical king David’s mother as an harlot. While there might actually be a valid biblical base for his pronouncement, many social media goers still feel outraged by such a message. Notable among those who reacted to the piece of information tweeted by twitter influencer, Eric Okafor, was media and style personality, Funmi Iyanda.

Iyanda in her response said, “if only you people will develop the creative industries well well, all these alawada keri keri will leave politics and religion and join feem ehn”
Not surprisingly, many other social media users queued behind her as they each had a go at Apostle Suleman’s interpretation of scriptures. Many of their comments were not friendly.

But for what it is worth, a search of the scriptures reveals that the Apostle might not actually be wrong given that king David himself gave a detailed account of how he was treated badly by his brothers as if he were an outcast in one of his Psalms (Psalm Chapter 69). Even though the story of his mother is not explicitly chronicled as was the case with most of the jewish generational narratives in the bible, there is evidence to show that he David didn’t share the same mother with seven brothers presented before prophet Samuel during the choosing of King Saul’s replacement. Moreover, David had two half sisters who were not born to Jesse. What is to be proven in this case is whether or not Nitzevet was truly a harlot before she took in for Jesse who was already married and had seven sons. Even though that history is not clear, David himself states categorically that he was a product of a sinful relationship.
